Case Study · Ride-Hailing

SIDASafe is a women-first ride-hailing ecosystem we designed and built.

SIDASafe is a ride-hailing ecosystem we built for PT Sida Berjaya Energi, focused on safety and comfort for women: a rider app (SIDAsafe), a companion app (SIDAbestie) and a driver app (SIDAroyal) for a female-driver fleet, live on both iOS and Android.

Highlights

  • Rider, companion and driver apps on iOS and Android
  • Women-first: female drivers for safe, comfortable travel
  • Real-time GPS tracking, matching and dispatch
  • 20,000+ downloads across the ecosystem

A three-app ecosystem

One connected platform with a focused app for each side of the service, so riders and drivers each get the right experience.

  • SIDAsafe: the rider app to book, pay and track trips
  • SIDAbestie: a companion ride app in the ecosystem
  • SIDAroyal: the driver app for the female-driver fleet
  • Shared backend and operations across all three

Built around safety for women

The whole product is designed around a women-first promise, not a generic ride-hailing clone.

  • Female-only drivers for rider comfort and safety
  • Trip tracking and clear driver identity
  • A brand and flow built for the target audience
  • Configurable rules for zones and pricing

Real-time ride-hailing engine

Under the hood it is a full real-time marketplace matching riders and drivers as demand comes in.

  • Live GPS tracking and map navigation
  • Ride matching and dispatch in real time
  • In-app payment and fare handling
  • Admin dashboard for operations and monitoring

Architecture

How we built it.

SIDA is a real-time marketplace: a shared backend matches riders and drivers, while dedicated cross-platform apps for rider, companion and driver talk to one API.

  • Cross-platform mobile apps (rider, companion, driver) from shared code
  • Real-time location, matching and dispatch over WebSockets
  • Central API for pricing, matching and payments
  • Admin dashboard for zones, fleet and live monitoring
  • Published and maintained on the App Store and Google Play
